Lead Project Manager / Lead Estimator

Let’s Get to It:

Are you the kind of electrical leader who can price it right, win it clean, and build it profitably? G&G Electric is looking for a Lead Project Manager / Lead Estimator to own the full lifecycle of our electrical work—from takeoff and proposal to execution, and closeout. We’re a growth-oriented company that values leadership, high standards, and true ownership.

Our Work Includes:
– Commercial Ground-Up (60%)
– Residential Ground-Up and Service (40%)

What You’ll Do:

  • Build accurate, executable estimates: takeoffs, vendor quote leveling, labor/material assumptions, scope letters (inclusions/exclusions/alternates)

  • Attend job walks and pre-bids; coordinate with GCs, owners, and homeowners to align scope and expectations

  • Convert awarded jobs into a tight job plan: job budget, cost codes, labor targets, procurement plan, and baseline schedule

  • Own execution from kickoff to closeout: weekly planning with foremen, scheduling, procurement, RFIs/submittals, inspections

  • Protect margin with disciplined controls: job cost tracking, productivity management, and early corrective actions

  • Run disciplined change management: CO logs, T&M tickets, pricing/submission, tracking approvals, and ensuring billing matches

  • Drive cash flow: progress billing, closeout documentation, and final collection

  • Lead and build: establish estimating + PM standards, templates, checklists, cadence, and help develop future team capacity

You’ll Be A Great Fit If You:

  • Hold a Journeyman license and have 5–7+ years in electrical construction/service with real ownership of estimating + project management

  • Can read and interpret plans/specs (one-lines, panel schedules, risers, lighting/controls, site plans, feeders/conduit routing)

  • Are fluent in: takeoffs, scope letters, RFIs/submittals, CO/T&M, progress billing, and closeout

  • Have strong job-cost discipline and know how to prevent margin leaks (labor, material, scope creep)

  • Can lead foremen and influence GCs/owners/homeowners with maturity and clear communication

  • Are comfortable switching gears daily across commercial schedules and residential service/construction realities

Tools You’ll Use (or Learn Fast):
Procore (or similar), Bluebeam, MS Project (or equivalent), Excel, estimating/job cost software (Accubid or similar), field reporting/timekeeping tools.

Warehouse & Fleet Assistant

Let’s Get to It:

Are you a highly organized individual who takes pride in maintaining equipment and managing inventory? G&G Electric is looking for a dependable team member to support our warehouse operations and oversee the maintenance of our 25-vehicle fleet. If you value safety, integrity, and keeping a shop running like a well-oiled machine, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Total Fleet Oversight: Manage PM records and maintenance schedules for 25 vehicles +, ensuring oil changes, inspections, and tire rotations are performed on time to minimize field downtime.

  • Equipment & Trailer Readiness: Direct responsibility for the maintenance and safety inspections of trailers, forklifts, and other lift equipment. This includes tracking hour meters for lifts and checking trailer tires, bearings, and lighting.

  • Asset Tracking: Maintain a centralized log of where trailers and large equipment are located (which job site or if they are at the shop).

  • Warehouse Support: Assist in receiving and organizing electrical materials, keeping the shop staged and ready for morning crew load-outs.

  • Tool Library Management: Track and maintain high-value company tools, ensuring they are returned in working order and tagged for repair if broken.

  • Clean and Neat: Keep the shop and the yard clean of trash and debris and ensure inventory, equipment, tools, etc. are organized and neat. It’s important that our shop presents well and you’ll be responsible for that.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:

  • Mechanical Aptitude: You understand basic maintenance intervals for both internal combustion and electric lift equipment.
  • Trailer Proficiency: Comfortable inspecting and occasionally maneuvering trailers within the yard.
  • Detail Driven: You enjoy the “paperwork” side of maintenance—keeping clean digital folders for every VIN and Serial Number in the fleet.
  • Safety First: You understand OSHA requirements for forklift inspections and trailer safety chains/lights.
  • Certifications: Ability to operate a forklift (or willingness to be certified) is required.

What You’ll Get:

  • Competitive Pay: Based on your experience in logistics and fleet coordination.
  • Benefits: Health benefits and a retirement plan.
  • Time Off: Paid Time Off (PTO) to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
